The Loom is a 5.5-acre creative hub in Oakland, California, looping creative spaces, regenerative living, and artistic expression. It envisions empowering artists, makers, entrepreneurs, and activists, to nurture and amplify the natural and cultural diversity of the Bay Area and beyond. Experiential series about contemporary rituals

Suppressed by the industrial revolution and institutional religion, the culture of ritual is coming back as an expression of a secular spirituality based on the transdisciplinary concept of consciousness. The Moon BY WEIWEI AND ELIASSON

Curation of participatory digital art project

Web, 2013 - 2017

Ai Weiwei and Olafur Eliasson are two of the world's most renowned contemporary artists, respectively focusing on the representation of social and natural phenomena in large scale installations. We curated their first collaboration and digital artwork, a canvas in the shape of a planet without borders, where everyone with internet access could leave a handmade mark of their boundless expression. Since its launch at the Falling Walls conference in November 2013, through its showcase at the Tate Modern, this interactive lunar landscape has amassed over 80,000 entries, growing from a blank white canvas to a dense collection of diverse responses.

Started in 2010, the Falling Walls Conference celebrates every year the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, by presenting twenty of the most interesting breakthroughs in science and society to a diverse audience from business, politics, academia, culture. For five editions we helped them with curatorship, creative direction, digital strategy.

“Of Berlin’s ubiquitous and charming industrial sites, a few still remain. Monopol is one of them - a former distillery located in Reinickendorf. A community of entrepreneurs has come together to give it a new purpose.” We supported with concept, cultural strategy and networking for the first three years of the project.


Performance Carousel

Curation of long durational performance art installation

Faena Arts Center, Buenos Aires, 2014

This performance installation consisted of a rotating carousel divided into nine parts, designed by Fyodor Andreevich-Pavlov and the architect Marko Brajovic for the Faena Arts Center. Nine performance artists, including Fyodor himself, performed in their designated space all day for seven days. Periodically, the carousel stopped for the public to step inside and participate in the action. We curated the performances around the themes of shame, intimacy, privacy, subversion as a political metaphor for a forgotten revolution. More


Lexus Hybrid Art

Manezh, Red Square, Moscow, 2013

Lexus Hybrid Art brings every year the best of technology based art to experimental and exhibition venues in Moscow and St Petersburg. Renown artists joined over the years such as Marina Abramovic, Bill Viola, Julio Le Parc. I curated the 2013 edition at the Manezh in the Red Square with works of Superuber, Pusenkoff Pusenkoff, Marco Brambilla, Hidemi Nishida and Teppei Koseki, David Letellier, Studio Roosegaarde, Cadu, Julius von Bismark, Philip Wortington and a performance by Devendra Banhart. STRELKA SUMMER TALKS

Curation of talks about urban innovation

Strelka Institute, Moscow, 2013, 2014

Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture, and Design was founded in 2009 with a mission to change physical and cultural landscapes of Russian cities. The Institute promotes positive changes and creates new ideas through its educational activities, including year long urban planning scholarships and public talks about urban innovation. We curated two editions of their Summer public talks, inviting design innovators such as Doris Sung, Superuber, Liam Young, Guto Requena, HWKN, The Living NY, Studio Schwitalla, Public Art Lab, Dean Johnson, ScanLAB.


SOHO HOUSE SPECIAL EVENTS

Curation of talks series and art event

Berlin, Los Angeles, 2011 - 2015

Soho House is a group of private members' clubs originally aimed at those in the arts and media. We curated for their members program in Berlin the Mashable Salon, monthly talks about digital innovation and creative industries, and Arts and Society, discussions and screenings around artistic freedom. In Los Angeles we curated the VIP FYF Fest 2013 opening at Sennet Mack Studios in Silverlake, with an immersive art installation by Japanese environmental artist Hidemi Nishida.
