Marcello Pisu is an experience and placemaker based in Lisbon, Portugal, with over two decades of expertise in artistic direction, event curation, and community building. After studying Performing Arts Management in Milan through a joint program by Bocconi University and Teatro alla Scala, he began his career in New York City, working with cultural giants like Lincoln Center and the Sundance Film Festival. He has worked on international projects with renowned artists like Ai Weiwei and Olafur Eliasson, and institutions such as the Strelka Institute in Moscow and Faena Arts Center in Buenos Aires. In Berlin, Marcello led digital strategy and co-curated for Falling Walls, one of Europe’s leading multidisciplinary science conferences, and started his placemaking career with the cultural hub Monopol. From Burning Man's MAXA camp to the social space Supra in Mexico City and cultural hub The Loom in Oakland, Marcello’s diverse portfolio reflects his commitment to fostering creative, connective spaces that bring people together, blending art, culture, and innovation. His studio work emphasizes "life amplification"—crafting environments and experiences that leave lasting emotional and cultural impact.
